Juvenile
So it's Friday night and I went to go see Juvenile perform at Memories, a night club in Hattieburg. The entire experience was exciting! It was my second concert, my 1st being Lil Boosie at the end of August. Juvenile has been my favorite artist since I was 13. I have changed artists periodically but after the performance I saw, I think he can keep his title. As some of us know, his stepson killed his wife and four-year-old daughter, Jelani, about 6 months ago. To see him on stage with so much drive and passion after going through all that really touched me. It was almost as if he was doing it for them. The first song he performed, entitled "I'm Still Breathing" was dedicated to them. He sampled a couple of other songs that are going to be on his new album as well. But the highlights of the concert were the oldies because everyone was able to chime in on his performance as if they wrote the song. I know I did. I also enjoyed him holding my hand!! I felt like the people you see on T.V. who start screaming when they touch a celebrities hand. One of my favorite parts was when i got to see the tattoos on his forearms that read "Nolia" on one and "Boy" on the other. Up until that point, I had only seen pictures so to actually see them was amazing! His whole performance knocked my socks off and inspired me a lot. Juve The Great" is what he calls himself. He earned it.
